American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) President Michael McGuffin will present at the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) Dietary Supplement Analytical Summit which takes place Nov. 5-6 in Salt Lake City. The theme of the event is, “The Evolution and Implications of Analytical Testing in the Post-New York Attorney General World.”
 
Mr. McGuffin’s presentation, “Focus on Authentication: The Status and Development of Reference and Identification Resources,” will take place on Friday, Nov. 6 at 1:30 p.m.
 
The two-day summit will examine critical issues surrounding dietary supplement quality, labeling and testing procedures to provide a deep understanding of current science, legal and regulatory developments and help companies adapt and succeed in this fast-changing and unsettling marketplace. Approximately 20 renowned experts are expected to present, debate and discuss the current state of affairs and provide insights on the future of testing, with a focus on the role of DNA barcoding.
